Vermont Consumers for Quality Care, No Matter Where

State Focus

Vermont is focusing on training requirements for personal care attendants and/or assistance to consumers hiring and supervising their own workers. The state advisory council is researching what training is currently provided to personal care attendants in Vermont and other states and what help the state provides to consumers hiring their own workers.

Consumer Perspective on Quality Care Report

The National Consumer Voice for Quality Long-Term Care, a national organization that advocates for people receiving long-term care, and several organizations across the country and in your state are working to improve the quality of home care in Vermont and nationwide. We can’t accomplish that without hearing from people like you. We want to know what you think makes for good care and services at home.

Please share your ideas! There are two easy and convenient ways you can do this:

  • Participate in a short (30 minutes) phone interview. Someone will call you at a time that is good for you and ask you a few questions. If interested please call the Senior HelpLine at 1-800-642-5119 or the Vermont Center for Independent Living at 1-800-639-1522

Participation in this interview will not affect your care or any benefits you receive. Your answers will remain confidential (unless you give permission to share your information).

Information from you and other consumers will be used to write an important report for policymakers with recommendations about how to make home care better in Vermont and nationwide.

More information about sharing your experience or becoming a volunteer to help interview consumers can be found in the flyers available below:
